Spread across two weekends and three sold-out events, the very first edition of FIBER Weekends brought together an array of immersive audiovisual performances, cutting-edge live electronic music, state-of-the-art developments in advanced technology and an inspiring search for new ways of sensing, building and knowing our increasingly complex and alien world. Opening at Muziekgebouw aan ‘t IJ on Friday, 23 November with the Dutch premiere of Alva Noto’s UNIEQAV and extending until the early hours of Sunday, 2 December with NKISI’s hypnotic rhythms, the first edition of FIBER Weekends was an extra-sensory experience beyond our expectations.
